FAQ

How Surfaro works.

What is a Discovery?

A Discovery is one time your project is presented as the main project on Surfaro. A Discovery credit is consumed when that presentation is served.

What is a Guaranteed Visit?

A Guaranteed Visit credit is consumed only after a qualifying outbound click from a Surfaro visit campaign. Repeat visits from the same browser to the same project within 24 hours do not consume another credit.

What does the 24-hour Boost do?

While you have an active paid campaign, the Boost gives that project three times the normal rotation weight for 24 hours. It does not create extra credits by itself.

How does the Daily Top 3 work?

Projects submit paid bids for the following day. The three highest paid bids from three different projects receive the three premium placements. If one project submits several bids, only its highest bid can determine its winning position.

Are losing bids refunded?

No. Each bid is a paid entry into the daily placement auction and is charged when submitted. See the Refunds & Bids policy for exceptions required by law or for payment/service errors.

Why do My Projects only appear on this browser?

For the launch version, the private project access key is stored locally in the browser where the project was created. It is not included in public URLs. Do not clear site data if you still need to manage those projects.

Does paying guarantee approval?

No. Projects must comply with the Surfaro Rules. Surfaro may suspend or remove projects that violate those rules.
